Hi ya all, I was wondering if anyone out there could give us any idea as to what my problem could be.....My rear nearside tyre has worn excessively on the inside, any ideas as to would could be causing this ? All other tyres are fine. I've checked the tyre pressures and they are all spot on. Thanks in advance Ron

More than likely a rear hub bearing m8 they dont seem to make any noise they just break up. If your sure its not this then check bushes in suspension arm. What is the history of your car i.e. have you had it long? If you have not it could simply be that the tyre has come from a front one where the tracking was incorrect, or it may have had the N/S/R kerbed and bent something etc etc. Depending on history bit I'd check the bearing first. Hope this helps regards Dave.

Jack the wheel up and check for any movement at all in the bearing and for excess movement from the trailing arm.

Yes indeed, I recently changed one the of rear bearings and the symptoms were - worn out rear tyre(s) (inside). As a matter of fact - the driver's side tyre had almost a hole in it and was badly and unevenly worn.
