It breaks my Heart to announce the passing away of my Beautiful car.
Everything happened last week. Firstly a Lady (driver) managed to run into the back of me coming up the A1. In pouring rain everyone else on the Motorwasy managed to stop except her. So I had to whisk that into the Body repairers for an Estimate (HOW MUCH HuhHuhHuh) In the meantime I was doing a run To London on the M11/A406. When all of a sudden the warning indicator for the Oil came on and then she dust died, I am distraught. My son seems to be certain that water is getting into the engine, would that be Gasket or a crack in the Block? Any Theories on this would be very much appreciated.
I am now going to bed and cry myself to sleep,

Goodnight all Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

Sad Sorry to hear of your problems.

Have you had a look at the car? What does the oil and water look like? Which engine is it?

I know it's boring but a few more details of your car may help you gain a quicker diagnosis or ideas  from  members.

If it is something like a cracked head, why not pop a new head/engine in if you really like the car?

Hi all
Things are not so good, still not managed to get the engine in for one reason or another,as time goes on I am beginning to fear the worst.Anyway, I have got another one to drive about in ( COSSIE) Is there anything I need to know? Also How does one replace the Sun roof motor? is it a job and a half, or just a job.

I WILL TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO WISH YOU ALL A VERY MERRY  CHRISTMAS AND A PROSPEROUS ( What, with a Cossie) NEW YEAR.

Take care All, JONNO  Cheesy Grin Roll Eyes

Hi All
Things have yet to happen with regards to my engine replacement but will keep you posted.

However maybe one of you could give me some advice on this......

Occasionally (Twice / three times a seek) both my Traction control and my ABS lights come on. Then after a while they go out again . Has any of you got any ideas of why this happens? many thanks.

Hi Jonno,

do they come on then go off when you start the car, then come on again when you get above 15mph? If so then there is a good chance that the rear ABS sensors (also work the traction control - hence both warning lights) need cleaning.

Take the wheel off and the ABS sensor is held in the hub by 1 bolt.

Have a look at this page for more details:
