engine running poorly

Have a 96 24V cosworth ghia, 155.000 km's
Since a few days, the engine started running poorly, stuttering at all speeds, little power untill kick down. I cleaned the MAF sensor and fitted 6 new sparks but no result.
Does anybody have an idea?

Thanks. Huh

Check the vacuum pipes, including the connection to a black cylinder behind the drivers (or your passengers) side headlight. This can pop off and cause similar problems.

I'm focussing on the EGR idea. Found the the electronlic vacuum control valve, it has a small filter on top. This filter seems to be almost blocked. Could this be the reason of all trouble? Is this fliter a sparepart?

Where do I find the EGR valve?

Thanks

Want to fit a new EGR valve. Is there any manual for disassembly available?
Thanks.

Have blocked the vacuum line between the control solenoid and the EGR valve. This did not give any results. Does anybody have an idea?

You need to get a scan done next i think as its no good spending money hoping to get the right bit, blocking the egr vac. pipe if the egr valve is stuck open wont solve it,check the valve is working & on its seat, but befor you get a scan done i would take a good look at the engine loom,if you think its electrical look at the loom across front of engine, ie coil, crank sensor, coolant sensor & down into valley under the inlet manifold,do you have any more info?
