Air con/climate control error code 58

I have been having a few problems with the air con system since I had the battery disconnected. It wasn't blowing cold constantly when the weather was hot, and kept switching to warm, and now, it seems to be blowing unheated air mainly, meaning the windscreen doesn't demist for ages. I decided to check the error codes and after holding down the recirc and AC buttons for 10 sec, error code 58 came up in the passenger side display. 58 isn't on the list so I have no idea what it means. Can anyone help?
I tried resetting the system by changing the code to 50, then pressing the button to show 00, then resetting with both buttons. However, 00 only shows briefly and then reverts to 58.

yes, 58 is on the list!  this is the same as 08 (battery voltage error).
when doing the reset, continue to hold both buttons untill the display starts to flash.
code 58> code 00> code 58> then the display starts flashing. let go of the buttons at this point. you might have to do the reset a couple of times to clear the code.
try this and give the system a try and let us know how it is.
