Back again with a Cossie and no heat

Hi all. (God, its been a while!!) Joined the forum last year when i got my 2.3 but was unusually quite (for me) mainly due to working long hours. Well, the 2.3 died recently (260,000 mile on the clock mind you) after the head gasket started to go and cracked inlet manifolds twice, and then the TPS packed up. Fitted a replacement and dies again a week later. So i went out and brought a Cossie!!!. Its an early 95, but goes well (very well) but has a long list of smallish issues. The first was that one of the rear wheel hub shafts broke up. Replaced that OK. Other issues are, nothing on the steering wheel works electrically (horn currently bypassed). battery light come on and off al will, but mainly at night with lights and heater on. Heater is cold (Brrrrrrrrr), tried reset with no joy and still looking at air locks/contol flap motor if i can find it. Any other ideas on the heater would be appreciated though please. Ian

Hi scorpius, sounds like you having a few problems there. It appears the heater matrix has given up the ghost. Not a quick job to change either. A new unit is around the 100 pound mark from FMD. Hope you get it changed before it gets any colder. John
