Worst time of year 4 ur Heat Matrix to pop...

Just at the start of the cold spell. sudden smell of antifreeze and wet feet. Gutted.
Followed the matrix tutorial section that was great. The tut is for Air Con ones and I have the ultima, so Climate Control and twin air bags.
Managed to figure out how to get it out completely tho and a few things the tutorial didnt mention that made it a lot easier. e.g. you can easily disconnect the airbags to completely remove dash and then you can fully remove Climate/Heat box and replace matrix in the comfort of your kitchen....
I got matrix for £34 inc vat from Unipart/Partco.
One problem though.
When you ask main dealer they tell you that there are two matrix (matrices?) one for aircon models and one for ClimateC... Unipart only said there was one.
Unfortunately the main dealer was right and it would not go in my heater box. To get round this I had to fully separate heater box, cut a few mm off of plastic and put back together. (20mins job)
Nightmare but nice warm Scorpio again now 
Took about 2 full days (I am novice) if interested.
