can any one helpHuh my heater in my scorpio ultima cossie (n-reg) doesnt work. i have been told the matrix is probably blocked!! i`ve got a spare but have been told the dash has to come out if this is right what is the easiest way of getting the dash out  HuhHuh

Check it is not airlocked first - search the site for the relevant fix for that.
 
With the engine warm, turn the blower on and heater set for hot. Both pipes (in and out of the matrix) should be hot, if they are look else where for the problem. If cold try flushing through with an hosepipe from both directions - it might clear some of the crud, but reports suggest it doesn't fix it for long.

When they are in good condition the heater on the Scorp gives a really good output, I am with Harry on this one, if you suspect an airlock try parking the car on a good slope or at least with the right hand front wheel up a high kerb.
 
If you are changing the matrix for another please make sure you have NOT been supplied with a Sierra / Granada matrix which may look similar but does not have the same capacity as the Ultima.
