Hello, can anyone help. A friend of mine has a scorpio 2ltr ultima, and hasnt used it for 4 days (sat), however it rained hard on new yrs eve. and weve looked in the drivers side fuse box and its a bit damp. (aux) The car will not do anything. no power, everything is dead, even no central locking, it also did this last year, and a garage striped/cleaned wires etc and presumed a faulty earth as the 3rd day when they put things back together it struck up. But we are thinking its the fuse box, water must have got in, can anyone clarify, if theyve had this problem before. Cheers.

Hi. If there's water in the fusebox then most likely the battery is dead, damp=leakage current=dead battery Get the fuseboxes dry before you think about starting it, then check the volts from the battery and charge it up if need be. You could also check fuses but it's unlikely to blow that many at once... Good luck. Regards, Bruce .
