M.O.T added to my recent woes

Due to a soggy fuse box, my hearse has been off the road since the new year.

I finally got it going monday and booked it in for its MOT, at a trusted local garage.

It has failed on emmisions and leaky power steering rubber things.  Stop me if I get too technical.

I could not take it in, so I got me old dear to take it in.  The chap at the garage thinks the emmisions is just a dodgy spark plug, but the power steering will be a bit pricey, although he says Scorpios are an easy fix for this sort of thing.

So it looks like I am without my luxury barge for another week, and will have to make do with a Megane, half its age, that feels 4 times crappier to drive.

Me = depressed.   Cry

LOL

If I keep dancing I can stock up enough petrol to get me to work for a week without visiting a petrol station.

Maybe the emissions thing is linked to that whole 18MPG issue I have had for 6 months.  Undecided

Apparantly the MOT tester, an older chap, reckins the car is very solid and should last me years.  They are only too aware that I normally change cars at least once a year.  I have been going to this garage since I was a kid, when my dad used the place.

By the way,  £50 for an MOT!!!!!!!! OMFG    Shocked

Fear not,   I believe our gracious government is almost 100%  decided to  bring in  a 2 year   car roadworthiness  test  rather than the present one year to bring us in line with the rest of  the foreign  hordes.

 Hungary and other Eastern European countries  will, of course,  continue  to  ignore  all  current EU  motoring  rules  that  the  rest of  us  have  to  obey.
