Hi guys, does anyone know how to replace the little light that is next to the front windscreen heater button. I noticed this morning that it has gone kaput. I also need to replace the bulb in the light switch as this has also died. As a paid up member of the numpty club when it comes to car sparks, Please keep advise in words of one syllable. BTW it is a 2.3 99 saloon. Chers guys. Ferret

Ferret,Have a look at THIS for the light switch. The bulb is all part of the heatedscreen switch and is NOT replaceable unless you are in to electronics. THIS will tell you how to remove the switch itself and THIS will give you an idea of what is involved in replacing the LED.

You could check out E-Bay or your local car knackers yard for a replacement. It's possible to replace the wee LEDs but it's as fiddly as....... you know what. As for getting the CC panel out without ruining yer pristine walnut dash, don't get me started, then you have to remove the whole dash to get at the switches..........

Pull the walnut fascia complete with the cc panel and headlamp switch, not worth the risk of marking that lovely finish The radio can be as tricky as an...errr...ferret to pull out, sometimes it gets caught on the fascia and needs a wiggle. Get a pair of DIN radio keys from a car stereo shop, tell them it's a mid 1990's Ford, they should know the one the keys will fit both styles of Scorpio radio... Regards, Bruce
