rear interior light

not working when the doors are opened, but, it works when switched on? i spose it could have something to do with when i was looking for the 3rd brakelight wires, come to think of it, thats when my rear screen stopped working....

Taliban, Have you checked the loom adjacent to the boot hinge?. You may need to 'unwrap' some of the tape covering. This is a known weak spot as the hinge can damage the loom with its continual movement. We used to have some good photos of this but regretfully they are no longer on the site. Mike.

Whilst looking for my 3rd brake light feed earlier this week (still looking for it) - I happened to notice that with the boot closed, the cable loom is bent to a very acute angle by the final section of the clip on plastic covering. You can only see how tight it is by closing the boot fully, dropping down the rear seat and looking up with a torch.
