Remote Control 3V or 6v?

I recently purchased an additional remote key fob on e-bay. The unlock button on the original key fob does not work , but estate rear door will only open using the remote.(ie the keys dont work) I tried to reprogram the additional key fob using the method on the website with no success. I opened the additinal key fob and found it had only one 'thick' cell, ('battery') a CR2032 of 3v. The original key fob has two 'thin' cells CR2016 of 3v each, ie 6v in total. Has the CR2032 cell been inserted in error or are there two types of remote key fob. ie 3V and 6V?

Also take care when fitting the two cells so that they do not short the first one which kills it instantly and only gives the voltage of the second battery meaning ...3 V
