ONE DAY I WILL UNDERSTAND THESE CARS!

hi all again 2 things i realy need a little help with .. if you will ..lol first i cannot find the V.S.S sensor under the gearbox ? looking from under, where is it second .. the drivers side fuse box . how do you get it off ?? iv looked under the drivers footwell but can i hell as find the 2 bolts ?? where are they ?? also a very silly question ... and i mean silly .. nearside is near the kerb, passenger side .. ?? isnt it ? many thanks guys kev

Kev. I think the drivers side fusebox has 4 bolts if I recall. The posts I have seen talk of literally lying upside down in the drivers footwell with your feet up over the back of the drivers seat!! or preferably with the seat out. Have you tried with a mirror?.

thanks snoopy and simmo, havent tried with a mirror . but like the sound of it, will definatly give that one a go tommorow.. ive seen the drawing of the VSS diagram before but when i went under today i just couldnt see it still i will look again thanks kev

I belive that the VSS is not below the gearbox, but just above it. I have removed the main fuse box from the facelift Granada Scorpio i had and you have to remove the seat (preferably) and the lower dash section. Get you head down amounst the pedals and with a torch you should be able to see the nuts. You just may have to wriggle a few cables out of the way to see it. Ian

its a 2L 95 saloon .. bad news is its on its way to the scrap yard tommorow, ive took off all the bits i could think of, i know alot of bits wont fit my 2.3 but i thought what parts i could get off i could pass on.. very limited to what work i could do on it as it was in my mates spray shop and insurance meant i couldnt really take any risks... PITTY kev
