Removing the CC panel

Tried today to temove the CC panel to replace bulbs, followed instructions found on here but no joy, has anyone else removed tis? if so what flat instrument did you use to get between the fascia and the panel?

I just used a thin bladed knife inserted betbeen the cc panel and the surround.The clips that hold it in place are directly above and below the air recirculate button and the a/c button.Hope this helps.Roy.

Have a look at THIS thread. The photos will show you exactly where the 'clips' are and the 'tang' on the end.

I personally use a credit card or the like its about the only thing I use one for these days . That way there is less likelyhood of causing damage to the surrounding area. I must admit that the first time I did remove it I was very very careful but after that it gets easier.

Mine illuminate when the lights are switched on but the centre lights up orange when you operate the switch.Roy.

| I recently replaced the bulbs in mine for led's, the symbols illuminate when the ignition is on and the centre of the button illuminates when swithed on.

Thought so, mine only illuminate on the orange light, another irritating job to do or source 2 new ones. Pain working away from home all the good kit is back there.

you could also try using a set of feeler gauges to run behind the panel to locate the clips...
