Seeing as Ford orginal flaps for  Scorpio are like hens teeth, what do people reccomend as the best buy to use instead? Looked at Halfords offering last night, no wonder they were so cheap Shocked  Seeing as it will be nigh on impossible to catch a Scorp at a scrappy with them on it looks like aftermarket will be the way  to go.

Do  you  think  they  look  good  on  a  Scorpio ?

Surely  they're   just  rust  traps   and   something   to get  torn  off  when  you  have  small  altercations   with  kerbs, uneven  roads   and   speed bumps  Kiss

loking at the amount of crap thrown up and onto the lower body during my trips home I think they are ok and those scorps I have seen with them fitted look ok.  Never has rust problems befroe with them, guess it is down to indivdual preference

Got to admit I agree with Chieftain If only we could find descent aftermarket flaps.
I have also noticed the scorp without flaps seams to get dirtier quicker than other cars I have had with flaps Roll Eyes

There is nothing to rust on the rears as they attach to the bumper and to be safe on the fronts I waxoyled everything behind them first as well as all of the clamps that hold them on.

By the way Granada ones don't fit just in case you were thinking  Lips Sealed

I managed to pick up a full set from a scrapper for £10, complete with the metal clips. They came up like new and they make a big difference to the muddy splatter you get from the wheels. I'd stick out for a set of Ford ones, they 'look right' on the car. I took the time to fit a bit of plastic strip between metal clip and the front body work, to help try to prevent the clips digging through the paint to start rust.

Check ebay and the For Sales on the forum for a set of the proper Ford ones. I read somewhere that the clips can still be had from Ford.
