Hi Scorpioman.
Just an update on my car, that you were helping me with. it has so far not been a problem, apart from the points you were helping me with TAILGATE. I have not done much lately as it has been very cold and I have been suffering with pneumonia for a couple of months.
I have fitted a secondhand soleniod to the tailgate, and have been opening it with the key, could not seem to get it to work off the key, and I still have the tailgate open light on, on the dash.
I have bought a remote fob off a guy on the fourm, it came today, I read up on the reprogramming on the site,
could get no action, I started up and run the car for a few minutes, then tried reprogramming the fob again, I got the chimes as was said in the paper, but could get no action from the fob, I then stripped the fob taking out the printed circuit board, the contacts were covered in a black muck and some of the brass tracks were green, I wiped this all over with a baby wipe, it took a couple of minutes but it all came off, then I wiped the inside of the base not the buttons, then out to the car again, this time I got all the correct chimes, but still the fob did not seem to want to work, I went round the back fired the fob and the tailgate opened, first time, so thought it must be working, went to the drivers door fire the fob and got door locking, I was pleased and relived. just the tailgate open light to get out then all will be well.

The car has always started but slow it only has a 56ah battery in it, as when I bought it, I am charging up a 70ah battery from one of my other cars, so hope this will help, could some one tell me what to expect after changing this, rough running I have read some where, until it sorts its self out.

hi there
it's not that bad most times. i've only had it once in 4 years and the battery has been off many time!
i just gave it a mixed 5 mile run. sorted.
