doors lock then unlock????

hi all ,i had a chap come round to my house on sunday with his car ,mk3 granada ,L reg when he locked the doors thay unlocked them selves  ??streat away,strange ,i took each plug one by one then locked the doors ,but no joy,any iders.

Could be that one of the doors indicate "open". I know the scorpio refuses to lock anything if a door is open. Don't know if the granny is similar

The Scorp will do this if all the 'contacts' are not registering 'closed'. Usually it's a case of cleaning all the contacts/switches with WD40 or similar, including boot and in 'our' case the bonnet switch.
