stuck electric window

Hi hope someone can offer advice.......window stops midway sometimes can hear relay clicking both directions so cant be switch global doesnt fix.......if i give panel a thump around arm rest area it fixes...I dont want to take off panel unless I know what i need to replace or fix first ... know it sounds like bad electrical connection...anyone seen experienced this ?? would be pointless stripping door to find its the motor and i dont have one etc john

hi there spray some silicon spray into the glass runners. use silicon as it's less messy than wd40 on the glass. then rub some onto the 'furry' bits of the guides. the panel comes off in about ten mins. it could well be the glass holder is catching on the inside of the panel. hth

yes. on the 'outside', but taking the panel off would let you see the workings......

thought i would post the resolution re the stuck window for anyone else......problem was intermittent and in the end i had to fix clue was giving door a thump which had cured fault..it was electrical ..the blue socket that goes to the memory module. one of the connections was clearly splayed and the mating male pin on the memory side was dark and had been arching...cleaned up switch cleaner small jewellers bent the connector together and then splitting a toothpick put in the gap on each side of the weak connector to keep together....not easy to explain ..but worth noting
