sounds stupid but are you sure you have not turned it off?... is it coming on with the ABS light as well?,if yes,it will pretty much be a dirty wheel sensor..

hi there if the abs light isn't coming on with the t/c light, i'd look more to the t/c system having an error. have a look at the wiring to the motor unit behind the pass h/light. hth

If ABS light not on too then it might be a front wheel sensor (as these are not shared with the ABS system). Cheers Penguin

No sorry, but front and rear wheel sensor problems will all flag an ABS fault. As its just a T/C fault its probably module related, but before doing anything read the codes...... a simple scan will most likely reveal the problem Regards Dave

Reading this thread with interest - I have both ABS and traction lights on (they go out sometimes and all works again). Sounds like the rear wheel sensors then - easy to replace/sort out? Cheers...

Fastflyer, Yours sounds like a dirty sensor or maybe play in a wheel bearing, but again, get it scanned and you'll know where to look IMHO on any modern vehicle with a fault lamp showing it is uneconomical both in terms of time and money spent on spares to attempt any work before doing a scan. Okay, so it may report a duff sensor but then its up to you to determine if its actually duff, bad connection to it, dirty, etc.... but at least you know what and where to look. Even commercially most scans are only 30 to 40 quid but try and find someone local who will do it for beer tokens Regards Dave

Disconnect the TC switch, switch the ignition off then back on and see if the light has gone out. If it is just a duff switch then I've got one you can have. The other thing to check is tyre pressures - I'm not sure how true it is but others have reported that wildly differing pressures can throw up an error. Darren
