I was taking a drive down the motor way the other day. when all hell broke loose found it to be engine tray disintergrating. I have fitted another one but cant get the car right ive got brake warning light on, ive had a flash from the traction control, its coming up to norm temp fans kick in temp drops into the blue fans stay on for some time.

ive got no fluid leaks, no leads of that i can see. oil water levels good.

dare i say it has somthing got WET in engine bay  Shocked (sorry for swearing) Lips Sealed as was raining hard the day i lost my tray

I'm sure people will come up with all sorts of suggestions but I have to say that this sounds like water in the fusebox. These beasts are very susceptible to this and it causes no end of problems.

Do you have a battery cover? If not read the notice on the first page and then search through the posts, there is a huge amount of information on this particular problem.

Is it possible that when the engine tray was disintegrating, it has maybe ripped out, damaged, or even  cut into part of the engine loom? Depends how it disintegrated of course, but basically it's  plastic and plastic can be sharp, especially if it was flying about at 70mph+.

At Motorway speeds, it could easily have caused some minor loom damage under the car.

I'd be going crawl-around under the car if it was me to look for any loose/damaged  wiring etc.  Wink
