Easy enough to change, a new one will set you back around the £250 mark, second hand ones go for around £100 unless you can speak nice to someone on here who's breaking one

http://groups.msn.com/fordscorpio-co-uk/ If you look on the Msn photo site there is a pic of the manifold with the crack highlighted. You can repair this crack if you are carefull, you would have to remove it and clean it out possibly with some emery cloth to rough it up, then when it's dry and clean apply some plastic metal from the inside and also on th outside, I know someone on this site has done this successfully although I can,t remember who, a search would probably bring it up. Hope this is of help Pete

The stat housing that cracks on these IS PART OF THE INLET MANIFOLD. I fitted 3 on my 2.3 and they all cracked so check out your head gasket before doing the job. Ian

Petehull wrote..... "I know someone on this site has done this successfully although I can,t remember who, a search would probably bring it up"....... I did a successful repair of a 2.3 manifold that I got from 'Scorpius' a few months back & it is still holding strong (after 10K miles) ....got to admit though...I've now got hold of another good manifold just in case I fixed it by sealing the crack inside & out with a hot knife & then used 'JB Weld' to cover the cracks. Just as a precaution, I stuck a thin covering of 'Quick Steel' over the 'JB Weld' inside & a crap load of 'Quick Steel' on the outside ....it's not leaked since
