Hi i had same problem on a 2.3 so i changed maf did not make a scrap of difference plus ford wont let you return the meter to them i think mine cost about 80 pounds so its expensive if it does not help your problem i went to an auto box specialist who drove it outcome was a pressure problem in the box which would need to be removed to repair does your car actually go into od and then come out or not go in at all does light flash on dash maybe a secondhand maf be worth trying as long as you can be sure that it functions correctly

Hi. Really sounds more like an electrical problem to me, new MAF is a bit expensive if you don't know for certain Undecided

the one in my Mk1 Mondeo looks the same, I remember something on the site which said they were the same part accross the range but don't quote me.

If you post up the part number on yours I'll check the Mondeo for you Smiley.

Regards, Bruce.

Hi, I have got a spare Mondeo MAF (same part number as the MAF in my 2.0L 8V) if you would like to borrow it. I have tried it and it is working fine. PM me if you want to borrow it.
Cheers,
Graham
