Find a local windscreen fitter and pay him to do it - chances are you will break it trying to get it out as it is bonded - you will probably need professional help to re-install anyway.

I totally agree. The windscreen forms part of the structural strength of the car so its very important that its done right. Ian

If you get a sharp flexible knife you can cut round the sealant, I found that there wasn't much seelant along the bottom on my 2ltr car. If you have some piano wire you can use that in the places where it's tight. I managed to get the screen out of the 2ltr but then I smashed it to get it in the dustbin... (the heater had gone and I'd cracked it cos I wasn't too worried, just an experiment. If you do manage to get it out it will need cleaning spotlessly of all the sealant and then it will need to be re-fitted using the correct sealant, (can't remember the type) go to a screen fitters shop and they will sell you some. It dioes need to be the correct type as it does play a big part in the structural strenghening of the car. Good Luck, it's worth a try.... Pete Pete
