2.9.12v cable on throttle body

hi can anybody tell me what the extra cable on the throttle body is for, it runs over to the front of the car and i presume its to do with the autobox, if so how is it adjusted many thanks

As far as i know its the kickdown cable so as long as your kickdown performs properly i would leave well alone
