Coolant leak

My Cossie came home on the back of a breakdown truck last night with a major coolant leak.

Water coming out as fast as I was putting it in. It's coming off the rear of the sump shield but in the dark it was impossible to locate the leak from on top peering into the engine bay.

So today it's up in the air and start investigations,

It turns out to be the water pump... £106 + vat from FMD but Partco will have one for me at half the price tomorrow morning.

However I am struggling to remove the final two bolts because I can't get a spanner on them. One of the alternator drive belt (tensioner pulley Huh?) is proving to be a pig at removing so I can get on them. As far as I can see all the bolts are off it but still won't move.

Maybe it's a false economy of time to leav the rad in place but the pdf on the site doesn't say remove it so I am being hopeful it's possible.

It's rained all day and doing it outside. Have just took some pictures and about to inspect them on screen to see if there is another bolt I can't see.

So much for Partco - their waterpump was the wrong one, and was for a Mk3. But no reflection on the counter staff, the parts books are wrong. Ordered pump from FMD at cost of £151 inc vat. (in on Tuesday)

All I need to do is get the tensioner off so I can get the last two water pump bolts off. It's proving to be a total b to move.

Any tips or previous experience would be gratefully appreciated.
Any tips on the opposite of a rain dance also needed

Update
The Rain has stopped and the pump is off. Amazing how things go better when water isn't dripping down the back of your neck

Yeah you can really only get these water pumps from Ford.

Some heat would help on those bolts if possible.

I changed the radiator a while ago and while it wasn't difficult it was a bit of a faff so I would say don't bother unless necessary!

Finally done and sorted. just in time to travel back to London again tomorrow, so much for a week with no work!!!

Out of practice with spanners, I'm getting soft and so are my hands because I'm cut to ribbons.
What a pig it was with the complications of wrong parts and wrong weather.

Got no aircon at present because I had to drop the compressor off but I can get a mobile man to come and do it for £45. But the thing is running cooler on the gauge than before, which suggests the water pump wasn't doing much even before it started gushing out.
