My blowers/aircon has developed a mind of its own. It doesnt matter which setting I select it keeps running at full speed.  I tried to reset the aircon by pressing the two buttons for ten seconds, but nothing shows up on the fault code diagnostics. Please help--I`m freezing to death!! Embarassed

All the details concerning Aircon etc are HERE. Note the differences between Air con and Climate control which is fitted to the higher spec models, the Fault finder page also has a section on Air con which may help you identify the fault.

Thanks Simmo, but I`ve already looked through the links you mentioned. I just wondered if there were any other members who have had the same problem. Thanks anyway.
P.S. The unit is not showing any fault codes on the display.

Agree.....If the front panel has been off, then the ribbon cable multiplug may not be pushed back home properly (locking clips not locked on) & this will cause it to blow at full speed all the time  Smiley

I have just had a similar problem - the blower started at full speed as soon as the ignition was switched on and carried on going until switched off again. Can't just remember if pressing the temperature buttons did anything but the fan speed control certainly didn't.

A new (replacement) HBC sorted that out.

Thanks everyone. I managed to prise the control panel off and found that one retaining clip had released itself from the ribbon connector.  Replaced same and so far so good.
Very tricky removing the panel without damaging the surround though.  Thanks everyone, now I can drive about without wearing a coat Grin Grin Grin
