ABS light on

Have had diagnostic check done. No faults found except no power supply to pump from ECU. Garage suspected internal ECU fault.
They have told me that to replace this unit will cost hundreds. Is this the case? I placed an ad in the breakers section  but no replies.
Unit is a Teves Mk IV. Huh

Last time i heard a  new ECU fitted from FMD was around the £700 mark.

I have a working 24v one you can have but you will probably need it programmed.

You dont appear to have posted a request anywhere for an ECU, was it on this site?

Just checking, is it the ECU or did they mean the ABS controller?

Bill does say ECU fault.
Thanks Highlander £700 is way too much to pay given cars age. When you say ECU needs to be programmed what does that involve. I posted request on a link site - carbreakers I think.

I didn't think the ECU had anything to do with the ABS control module.

Sorry,
Worded that badly,
The ABS control module supplies power to the ABS pump, I didn’t think the ECU was involved.

Sorry I am not technically minded. This is full wording from auto elec.
'Diagnostic check on ABS system & test pump motor & power to ECU. No faults found other than no power to pump from ECU. Suspect internal ECU fault.'

Thanks for your help everyone. I have decided to reluctantly sell the car as I need a larger tow-car. See ad in for sale section.
