Woah...
This is interesting. I have a -97 Cossie standing still at my backyard. A few weeks ago i removed the battery from it
and then after half an hour i removed the wiring for the
driverside airbag. There is this round object under the
steering wheel, where all the wiring go, I needed to test
it in an other car.
Then I left the car standing, without the battery for quite
a while. Few days ago I then decided to move the car
to another place to spend the winter there, but did
not have electricity! I charged the battery, checked all
the fuses in main and in battery junction box etc.
But there's no electricity. The interior lights turn on, the
door locks work, the chim bell works when I turn on the
lights, but nothing happens when i turn on the ignition.
Even the A/C stays dead. I checked the inertia switch
from the booth, it was down. Haven't yet removed it and
tested it more.
I must say I'm quite puzzled. This car has a fusebox
cover and everything looks nice and dry inder it...
Well it's not my everyday motor, it's aproject one, so
there's fortunately not hurry to get it moving, but help
is greatly appreciated, thanks!

How long was the Scorp left without a battery ?.....I'm wondering whether leaving the car for a certain length of time without a battery can affect the PATS programming

do you have ignition lights showing?
Does the engine crank but not fire?
check you havent missed the small wire on the -ve terminal when reconnecting the battery.
Double check your battery
Try it in N instead of P
Lock the car then unlock it in case the PATS is activated
Check the starter inhibitor relay in the main fusebox

No lights or anything in the instrument panel absolutely dead.
I had the pats problem with my 24V to 16V conversion, at least then I
had electricity in the instrument panel...
double checking the battery is a good idea, even though I did connect
the ground, even the smaller two ground leads, but ...
Lock'n'unlock done many times. Yes, know the starter relay stuff, but
there should be power even if it's preventing the system to start.
I'll go through the battery wiring again, something mustbe loose
somewhere....

Oh my goodness.
There is a stupid man sitting on this computer. The reason why I did disconnect the
battery was because I wanted to test the drivers airbag leads in another car.
And while I was removing the leads from their multiplugs, I must have disconnected
another multiplug in a hurry, because it was on my way. So, there it was, a black bunch
of leads innocently going into general direction where it should have been, but only
trouble was that it was not plugged!
So case closed, another idiot owner with a thumb set nicely in the middle of
his palm, was the reason for this one.

But it worries me how often the problem seem to be the same for different
symptoms!
