hi all,
i was under the daughters ultima yesterday....and i noticed that the two auto transmission oil cooler pipes are some what crushed at the point just under the engine sump..some careless past owner not paying attention to what he was doing....oh well i will fined some in the local scrapyard...in the not to distant  future..i dont want to try to squeeze the pipes open..as i would think that they could crack..and then leak..so best left alone for now...replaced the lower wishbone rear rubber bush...no problems with that job, took about 15mins...anyway have funand be safe out there...regards joe-satch. Smiley.

They Can be cut back and Fuel Pipe substituted in its place and use good jubilee clips to secure.
There is NOT a lot of pressure in the system .

As snoopy says use fuel pipe, After replacing the small pipe that goes between the cooling radiator and the main rad at a cost of £28 for a new pipe, I used 9mm fuel pipe to repair the other pipe as I didn't like to think how much that was from FMd. Cut the old bad bit out with a plumbers pipe cutter to give a nice cut, 9mm pipe is tight to get on the metal pipe and then fitted 2 jubillee clips on each end to make sure it's very secure, but as stated earlier there is very little pressure anyways.
