Changing Fascia (Dashboard) & Instrument Bulbs

hi need help replacing bulbs in the manual it saysOnly prise out the bezel from the air distribution control switch side of the bezel to prevent breakage of the locating tang at the opposite side. But My righthand drive air Distribution control is oppersite to diagram do I still do it from the air distribtion side
owner of tdi 2.5 estate love car just few problems

Smiler. The tang on 'our' cars ie; right hand drive, certainly on mine, is on the RIGHT hand side of the panel, adjacent to the buttons for the front and rear screen. You will need to be very gentle as the panel needs to be almost free before you can 'wriggle' it over the 'screen buttons' without breaking the 'tang'. I'm not sure if you have read THIS. The location of the FOUR securing clips,which are quite strong is shown in the dagram for climate control. You need to slide a strong thin blade in to depress them before the unit will release.

hi I have read the proceedure for but was puzzled by picture showing the side away from the steering weel and I have only
aircon not climat control and just the back window help much aprrecated

I had to remove mine a few times, The best tool I found was the end of a steal ruler covered with an old T shirt. The secret is slow and steady.
The first time I did it I levered it out just enough to get the tips of my fingers in. but be prepared for sore fingers for a day or two.

Hi what I'm trying to say is the air distribution is next to the heated rear window button its the square side not the round side I have this fear that I'll do from the flat side and break the tang sorry just nervous
