Hi,

the BOA engine is from a Granada Scorpio (up to 1994) so I would double check the sensors before you buy. They may still be the same regardless but I am not sure.

Cheers.

confusing, a scorpio granada is a scorpio in netherland.

as far as i know there are 2 types, the big one that was also fitted in the manual box and the smaller one wich i need.

if you guys are not sure i will send the seller some pics so he can look if they are the same.

according to microcat, all the vss`s from an autobox are the same, including sierra with an autobox.

the guy who sells it , will look today if he has one , so i am out of trouble.

the problem with my sensor is that it short circuits after a couple of minutes and turning contact on and of, so i think the diodes and resistors are bad.

guys, my scorpio is on the road again.

the vss was faulty, it did give pulses but not strong enough, i bolted a second hand vss on the box and its running fabulous again, even better then it was.

shifts are smooth as silk, the engine runs better, kickdown works perfect.

yes, i used the vss from a 1990 granada scorpio with the a4ld box.

when i turned the new vss, i could feel it was giving a much more pulsing feeling on the speedo gear, my own vss was much softer with the pulses.

according to microcat the vss from the folowing cars are the same:

sierra automatic from 1990 / 1992
granada scorpio till 1998 so a4ld sensors will fit a4lde

only thing you have to do is use your own speedo gear.
and in some ocasions the plug on the sensor is round instead of an triangle form.

i am so happy, only things i have to do on the engine is finding a minor waterleak, probably the o-ring ond the heater pipe in the middle of the V i renewd it but i think its slipped out of its socket.

and my ecc is not cold enough , i found a small leakage on the condenser/dryer, an o ring has refused to keep the fluid and pressure inside.

bodywork, front bumper and the left rear panel needs to be paint in the right color .
