Hi, earlier this year I had exactly the same problem i.e that of finding the part number for the fuel cut off loom for my 2.0L 16V auto. To cut a very long story short, the eventual part no. was 1003462 available from local FMD at £97.15+Vat. In the thread of the article someone was enquiring about whether the same part no is used on the 2.3L. User 'peteHull' (I believe that's the correct name) also posted to say he had checked with his 2.3L and found it to definately be the same part.
What concerns me is that yet another part no is quoted in this thread Huh Maybe its to do with man vs auto or 8V/16v etc??

Hi all. As I've said " I'am not great with computers, so I hope those who offered there help get this message of thanks. Many thanks."
I have the Fuel cut off loom ordered through fordparts.uk. I gave them the VIN and REG numbers. They charged £83.24+VAT. Hope to get it at the end off the week. I will let you know if I have got the correct part then. The part number they gave me was   1063559
Thanks again Tim

Hi all, just to let you know I got the new Fuel Cut Off Loom, in the post today. Thanks to  SCORPIO_MAN and MINDOFITSOWN.
I ordered the new Loom from  fordpartsuk on Monday. I got an email on Tuesday to let me know they had despatched it. I got if from Parcel Force today Thursday. Thanks   fordpartsuk for the great service.
I can confirm the part number (FINIS Code) is 1063559.
This is for a  2.3 manual 16v DOHC
Thanks all   Tim

On the page on the website about fitting the loom it mentions that one of the connectors is difficult to fit. It’s easier to get at with the oil filter off so if you’re due an oil change, do it at the same time. It might be an idea to tape a draw wire to the old connector that you can then tape to the new one to pull it through, as it was a bit fiddly on mine to feed it through.
You could cut the old wire and make a temporary connection until you change the oil and pull it through then.
If you’ve got an airline give the big connector a blast as dirt tends to fall in when you separate it. I lifted the seal out to give it a clean as it was fairly mucky.
