How do you know if its working? The mirror looks dark ish but still reflective. How dark does it go when its working? Cheers Rob

Have a read of THIS and take note of the potential for damage if the unit leaks. The unit is guaranteed for life and one or two members have e-mailed the company,in America, and received new units. I'll try and find the details but I'm sure someone will post them if not. Try reading THIS post.

The difference between dark and light in the mirror is slight, the change smooth and almost unoticeable, but it does the job. The best way to test it operation is to wait for a bright day, ignition on, green LED lit and place your finger tip over the forward facing sensor whilst looking through the mirror at well lit object behind you. Try it several times and you will notice the change. They work by comparing the light from the front sensor with that from the rear looking sensor. Brighter at the rear and it will self dim.
