Cold Heater

Hi I have cool air blowing into my cabin, I have a scorpio cosworth. I checked the codes that are logged and 57 was showing, since this I have cleaned out the heater matrix and bought a second hand HBC. After this it was a little better but still not right, I have just had a trip down the motorway and only cool air came through. I have just checked the logged codes again and again I have 57 showing. Has anyone got any ideas??

Many Thanks

Have you re-checked the heater matrix pipes for heat ?..... as sometimes, cleaning out the matrix only works temporarily & the matrix can soon clog up again  Smiley

Reset the cc. If that doesn't work it will probably be the matrix.

A 57 code would indicate a fault with the HBC (heater blower control) & a 58 code indicates a low battery voltage  Smiley

P.S....a 5 is the same as 0, i.e..57 is the same as 07  Wink

Thanks a lot. I thought so, but the "5" confused me.
