diesel sump plug

having trouble finding the engine sump plug on this motor, its a 2.5 litre td, engine code SCC,appreciate quick reply as i'm running out of daylight.thanks,phil.

Be careful - the diesel in my M-reg had one sump plug which I found by trial and error. The two 'plugs' shown in the diagram were actually just part of the sump casting on mine (the actual plug was a different colour and larger). Might be worth checking if you try to undo the ones shown and they just round off!!! Darren

thanks Darren,it did turn out to be two plugs,used correct tool so didnt round off,'torx' driver i think its called. why it needs two plugs is beyond me tho.cheers,phil

probably to make draining quicker as it holds 6.6 litres with filter change.....or it could be something to do with boats as apparently the V&M engine is a marine one..
