Diff difference?

Going on from my earlier post it now seems that i will have to change my diff. looking at the "how to do it" pages I notice that thre are two different mounting methods, the question is are the diffs slightly different to accomodate this or the same. I have a P reg so would earlier diff fit?

just swap the rear cover to convert between the 2.

Thanks for that would hate have paid and lugged a diff all the way here only to find it did not fit Thats diff covers you mean?

Yep, the back plates on the diffs are different but the actual diffs are identical
