Brought car back from garage last night after checking diff(only a drive nothing touched or disturbed) came to move it just now and agrhhh no drive, Cry played around and found it will start in gear forward and reverse.  Is this simply a soenoid fault? if so which one did know but mind a blank.

Must be why we all love these cars Grin

With ref to your other post:
I have no experience of diffs, so just a query for others – assuming you have it in park when you test turning one wheel, and the other wheel only twitches. Would you be able to drive it if it was a diff fault?

Talking to Ford Angelsy and the chap i spoke to seemed to know his Scorp, says because of the almost silky smooth op of the gear shift it is mechanical, options are (hopefully outside linkage or Groan the cross shaft inside.  Will try all options tommorow Shocked

So any more ideas gang? linkage all moves but do not think this can be electrical there is a distinct smoothness to the shift lever that was not there before.

hi there

this is the area that has something wrong with it.

iirc, you can strip down the covers and see most of it.

again, if memory serves me correctly, there's a plastic 'pin' that can break, if it's not the sensor out of alignment.
