Ill try and put up a video of it later if i can work out how

Craig, check the connections to the instrument pod at the rear. It will involve removing the dash though http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/dashremove.htm

Dash is dead easy to remove - one Phillips screw driver (+maybe a torx bit, I can't remember), some stereo removal prongs and one hour of your time is all you need. I've done it about 5 times to replace clocks and bulbs etc.

craigs2007. Does your trip button feel right when you press it,ie does it make a soft click,if not there is a possibility it is jammed in.
