The ABS modules carries out two tests.. The static tests which confirm everything is OK, before the wheels turn when the ignition is first switched on - and the continuous dynamic tests which can pass or fail at the 15mph point or should a problem develop on the road. Yours is failing at the second test. There have been a variety of reported causes for the dynamic test to fail at 15mph. 1. Check the waterproof plug and socket at the front wheel. These are located on the inner wing and you can see them by turning the steering to full lock. Moisture can get into these causing poor connections and shorting the wheel sensors signal out. The ones for tyhe rear are under the rear seat, in the dry and not usually a problem. 2. Check the cogged wheel for each of the four wheel sensors. Magnetic dirt on these can upset the signal. 3. Also check for cracks in the above cogs. 4. Finally Some have reported a failing wheel bearing can cause the light to come on at 15mph. The actual connection to both ABS and engine diagnostics, uses what is called an OBD plug and socket, but the actual data is older style EEC IV which needs a Star compatible tester. Just a lamp and a switch for the engine, but not the ABS. Some of us have an higher tech version of the Star tester which displays the EEC IV fault codes on an LCD display, designed for the Granada. It only works with the 2.9 12v Scorp, but it includes the ability to also diagnose the Teves ABS's problems. Unfortunately it doesn't work with the model of Teves fitted to the Scorp. It seems the basic Teves unit was the same, but not the diagnostic interface data used. So it works fine with the engine diagnostics, but not the ABS diagnostics. Several have reported poor internal soldered connection in the Teves unit, but I'm not sure whether this was the Teves as fitted to the 2.9 12v or the completely different Teves unit fitted to other Scorp models.
