High to all, I have a 2 litre dohc scorpio on a n plate, The exhaust manifold has a hairline crack about 2 "long near to the no.3 exhaust port, Can I get away with sealing the crack with gun gum or am I looking for a replacement, As the Mondeo shares the same engine, does it have the same exhaust manifold? your thoughts are welcome, thanks kev.

Sorry, gun gum won't fix it. It will either have to be replaced or welded Also, the Mondeo doesn't share the same engine. The Scorp has the RS2000 engine & the Mondeo the Zetec engine, so the manifolds will be different. The 2.3 Scorp exhaust manifold is the same though Good luck

You MIGHT get away with something like Pyruma fire cement as a temporary fix - I used this a long time ago on another car with a cracked exhaust manifold - repair held out till I could get another manifold.
