Just aquired a facelift...great car but has two problems..the parking distance sensor goes green when reverse engaged but then goes blank and just makes warning noise...previous owner had tow bar fiited could this be affecting the sensor..also the memory seat buttons do not work...could this be the switch on the door bin or something more sinister?? All answers gratefully received!!!

Tried cleaning the contacts no joy......presumably must be the module that won`t remember the settings

When programming the seat into the memory a "bong" should be heard.. if not then as stated its most likely the switch contacts or the memory module faulty.. its under the drivers seat check under there for connection tightness etc ... I think the ignition needs to on to do this but I am NOT sure
