TD, water leak, alt oil leak

Problems come in 3s? Following on from the diesel tank leak, not yet sorted, I seem to have 2 more leaks! First is a coolant loss. Pipes seem OK but I notice there are some drops of water coming from a drain hose attached to the water pump. Is this normal or does it indicate a pump problem? Secondly, an oil leak from the bottom of the alternator which has caused it to stop working. Only started to happen when I changed the alternator due to rectifier fault. I got a second replacement alternator FOC just fitted and its doing the same thing. Leak seems to be from joint between alt and vac pump, then leaking into alt body. Local car electrics place is baffled. Any thoughts gratefully received!

Alternator rear seal failed, or missing/damaged O ring between pump body and alternator. Shouldn't be any water leaks from cooling system - on mine the T junction on the top hose had started to leak but this was only obvious when under pressure. Darren

Hi Darren Rear seal is I presume Ok as I have had 2 recon alternators and it happenened with both. O ring is a possibility. There is one there but I can renew it. I had a leak before from the T junction and replaced the pipe so I think its something else - as i say there seems to be a drain pipe off the pump dribbling - can't see anything else external. Thanks
