Hi all Can i ask some advice please? I have just bought a scorpio with al ist of issues i have worked 75% through. The remote fob did not work at purchase so i have changed the batteries and programmed it to the car without any problems....but the locking and unlocking is a hit and miss affair every time sometimes taking 3-4 minutes to do either where should i start to look for problems or do i source a new fob? many thanks

Make sure all the door locks, the tailgate and the bonnet switch are all well lubricated with WD 40 or similar. If the contacts to any of these are not activating properly you will get problems. I find that directing the fob at the rear door pillar is the best way. THIS may help.

Thanks for that. Everything seems to work as it should although i have not managed double locking. But all the doors lock if you can get the right angle height etc for the remote to work. So i'm not sure if double lock works as it's hard to lock and i don't want to upset the system and not be able to start it or something like that

Take the fob apart and clean everything especially the back of the flexible key pad with a mild degreaser eg white spirit,it's surprising how much muck finds it's way in. GOZZ
