obd scan done no faults but still have a problem.On tick over and driving round town smashing,but 30 miles on the motorway it feels like ive filled up with kangaroo juice.rac came out and cleaned the mef but didnt help.any one help? The car has done !00thou and has a full service history,due one thursday.

You could also do with getting some live data from the sensors through the OBD as well as any codes. What is it - misfire, lack of power/vibration? Gear shifts ok? How is it doing for gas mileage? any other symptoms? As Pete said, coil pack wiring (unbolt the cover with the Ford logo on the top of the engine to see the coilpacks/wiring) You might find something like this, damaged wiring to the coilpacks which would give misfires and lack of power, commone fault on the DOHC Scorpios: Regards, Bruce .
