Flashing Over drive light ?

For some unknown reason the O/D light has started to flash as if disengaged, i can't feel any difference in the drive and the button has no effect on the gear selector. any ideas guys?

hi there it's indicating an error code is stored for the 'box. http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/odlight.htm first thing to to is check the level with the engine warn and running at all times. cycle through the gears 3 times each. then check the level (l/h/s black dipstick). should be the max and a reddy colour with NO black bits. then clean the MAF. hth

Will check as instructed thanks, However... when you supplied the link, i had already typed Overdrive into the search at the top the page and come up with no answers found, what do i need to do to save bothering the forum in future?
