Hi, i have a 2.9 8v auto scorpio, when cold the box is fine, goes up down the box fine and also kicks down ok. But when its been run for a while it does't kick down correctly and it changes irraticly when full throttle applied. the vehicle has done 134k, do you think it might just do with an oil and filter change? many thanks, jim.

Jim, an oil and filter change is probably a lot cheaper than your other options, it's also something which should've been done years ago but probably never has. Most people would say go for the change and see what comes out of it.

AFAIK the 12v box relies more on its mechanics than the others do, could well be just dirty oil/filter causing all the faults.
