Found someone to do the scan and guess what.No power at the EEC 1V ECU. Nearly ready to give it up.

The 12v uses a Star tester for diagnostics.

haitch. I run several 12v hearses and limousines in the funeral trade, bad fuel economy and idling is nearly always due to either the manifold actual pressure sensor,or vacuum thereto,or one or both exhaust oxygen sensors.Another common problem, although with different symptoms,eg cutting out at road junctions and intermittent idling speed is down to a failing throttle potentiometer. If you are unable to get a scan, which in fact is a simpler operation than EEC V,but seems to bamboozle technicians, substitution of these parts for known good units does'nt take too much time. Good luck GOZZ.

| the 12v is generally bullet-proof. if there was no power at the ecu, it wouldn't start, afaik. work your way though replacing the list of parts one at a time and you'll find the culprit. hth
