Fast idle 2.0 16V

Hello everyone, I just wonder whether replacing the Idle regulator (with them two bolts) would help for the following problem: car runs 1500rpm idle, when rolling. Only at full stop rpm drops to 1100 and is not very stable either. Only when ac is turned on and fans for radiator come on rpm drops to steady 900. When using the button at odometer for digital reading, it says '31'. Who can give me possible causes? I ordered a new idle regulator and cleaned the inlet and MAF thouroughly. Ideas? thanks very much in advance. Job

Hi ..... I've just bought a new idle speed control valve of ebay and it works a treat. Idle constant now at a fraction under 900. Worth every penny. ( just over 20 quid plus postage.) Cheers d.x.t
