Hi folks, I am about to give up doing this job It's proving very difficult doing work under the car on my drive, and a bit worrying to say the least. I have not yet removed the sump but I have the timing cover loose but it wont come off so I can see I will have to get the car to a garage to work off a ramp... The future is not looking good

Sumps dead easy to remove, get car up on couple of axle stands, undo engine mtgs, steering column, either use an engine support beam, or you could put a jack under front of crank, remove front frame bolts, frame will then drop enough to access & remove sump.
