no i did not replace them...but some 1 told me to tap a thred in tensoner and put a bolt in a make it  ajustable would it work ?

Even if the bolt would work(which I doubt),once the intake manifolds are assembled you would not be able to access it to carry out adjustment,same goes for offside ,which is just as inaccessible.Sounds like someone gave you bum advice.

They are on back order at Mr Fords emporium,and are something to the tune of £112 each.There are sections on this site,and various postings relating to Cossy tensioners.Simmo is your man for details !
